The Mariner of the Seas is rated by some cruise critics as the #2 best ship of the Royal Caribbean fleet. Refurbished in mid-2018, the ship features passenger favorites like the SkyPad virtual reality trampoline, an Escape Room, an ice skating rink, a miniature golf course, an adult swimming area with whirlpools, two giant slides, a rock climbing wall, a Lazer Tag, and its FlowRiderTM surfing simulator.
When it comes to dining, the ship offers 11 venues, including a multilevel main dining room. The ship's nine bars and lounges and onboard entertainment, which includes Broadway-style shows and specialty performers like comedians and magicians. There are also piano players at many of the bars, there is an ick skating show, and there is Karaoke in one of the lounges. Plus it has a basketball/volleyball court, ping pong tables, and corn hole games. And – going back to food – there is something available day and night to help you gain that extra weight you need. Plus a spa and fitness center to try to take off those pounds you gain. Considering that for a five-day cruise, Days One and Five are mostly embarking and debarking, and Days Three and Four are at Nassau and Coco Cay, this leaves little time to enjoy all these activities, but one can try … and we did. |
