Aaaah!!! Butterbeer!!!

The best ride in the park

What were some of the things you liked about Universal Orlando Resort?
  • Alice and Thatcher (from Natalie) - I think they loved the Caro-Seuss-el (Merry-Go-Round) in Suess Landing and having butterbeer. (Butterbeer is served hot or cold or iced. It is a cream soda topped with a whipped ice cream and butterscotch syrup.)
  • Luke loved all the Harry Potter stuff especially Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
  • Charlie's favorite was riding Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure for the first time that night we stayed late. He also loved the Horror Make-Up Show. (Jay, Natalie, and Charlie arrived at the attraction early and were seated in the front row. Yes, there was gore, but it was mixed in with comedy by a very good actress who had fun interacting with the audience.)
  • Everett loved drinking butterbeer with the family and riding Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure with Papa B. He also loved eating late night Chinese food. He also loved the Horror Make-Up Show.
  • Benjamin's favorite rides were the Jurassic World VelociCoaster and the Incredible Hulk Coaster, because they were intense and fast.
  • Natalie's favorite experiences were the VelociCoaster and riding Hagrid's twice along with re-experiencing the old-school feeling of a long line where you get to know everybody around you and then experience an awesome ride. She also loved the boat rides and the walks and all the good memories of previous years of Universal.
  • Robert enjoyed Hagrid's and VelociCoaster the most; but also enjoyed the Horror Make-Up show, MIB, swimming, and meals at the Today Cafe! Boat rides to and from the parks were also fun.
  • Jay's favorite was the VelociCoaster because it was the most intense rollercoaster he had ever ridden. He also noted that even though the rooms were mostly used for bathing and sleeping, he still missed having the family get together in a common area, something that will be a plus for Callaway Gardens over the Labor Day weekend.
