Welcome: Ryan Kent Zwerner

New Orleans, Louisiana
January 20, 2017

With the blessed day being scheduled for January 20, Jay and Sandra flew into New Orleans the day before, on Thursday evening. The next morning began early, with the objective of being at the hospital before 9 a.m., since Anne's delivery was scheduled for 10 a.m. We arrived at the hospital without incident but found that an emergency procedure had been necessary, and that would push back Anne's scheduled delivery time. Eventually Rusty and Anne were called back to the delivery room, and we all waited the arrival of Ryan Kent. It turned out that Anne's delivery was a bit difficult, but all ended very well, and Ryan Kent arrived at seven pounds one ounce and 19 1/2 inches.

Since all was well, Rusty, Anne, Ryan Kent, and Bonnie Jane were released on Sunday, the 22nd, and made their way back to their home on campus at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Over the next few days and probably continue into the future, Rusty and Anne got to experience what it would be like to have two children under the age of two. We're sure that we could sell them eight hours of undisturbed sleep for a large amount of money, that probably won't happen for a while.

Jay and Sandra try to help out as much as possible, but Rusty and Anne had things well in hand. Jay and Sandra left on Wednesday, the 25th, but Robert and Natalie were able to be in that coming weekend to also help out.

Praise the Lord that all aspects of the delivery went as well as possible and that the Zwernerr family now has the addition of one healthy baby boy.
