Boggy Creek Airboat RidesOrlando (Kissimmee), Florida December 28, 2014

Our Boggy Creek Airboat Ride was fun. We had a good boat captain with a dry sense of humor. (He stopped the boat near a sleeping alligator and said that the water wasn't deep if anyone wanted to get out for a closer look.)
The Boggy Creek location was south of the Orlando Airport in an area that was a combination of a campground and a park. We arrived without reservations, but the people there are accommodated us, and our wait was less than 40 minutes before we were on the water. We used the time to play some games and to feed the fish in the creek.
The ride was exciting; we had the boat just about all to ourselves. Shooting through the water weeds might have been routine for the airboat captain, but it was adventuresome for us. The captain stopped at two different locations where we were able to see alligators resting. We also saw a few turtles and other wildlife, especially the many ducks that we chased from the water as our airboat flew by.
Afterwards the kids got to handle a baby alligator and that was a nice end to a good time.
