This reunion was a result of at least six months worth of planning, and Joyce was a key member of the Reunion Committee. They had met about monthly to begin with, and with a greater frequency as the reunion date drew near.

The event was superbly organized. Each event participant was met at the door with a package that had his or her name on it and included the schedule and another pertinent information. For both the first night dinner and the second night lunch there were a panoply of door prizes. The evening dinner also included a silent auction with half the proceeds going to the Hillsborough High School Scholarship Fund. The brunch had a 50-50 drawing, with proceeds again going to the HHS Scholarship Fund.

For each event there were very nice table decorations, and in each case these were also given away to participants. Joyce had donated really beautiful dish gardens that were well, well received by the lucky recipients who came back to Joyce for advice on how to take care of them.

The evening at Temple Terrace included a one man singer/band who played during dinner and also for dancing later on. The lunch at the Columbia included a look at written memories of HHC that had been submitted by many of the alums. And two were read aloud, much to the enjoyment of the other participants.
