The event featured a well known singing couple, the McCloskeys, and an excellent surf and turf dinner served by Fellowship Youth who also provided drink service and cleared dished from tables.

Jay and Joyce participated by adding three games to the event:

• Jay prepared and offered a 10-question Sweetheart Quiz, and he also wrote the program and script for a Not-So-Newlywed Game involving three couples who were invited up on the stage where questions were asked to the ladies; and the men - who were offstage in a sound proof room - were expected upon their return to guess their spouse's earlier response.
• Joyce created and distributed a crafts game involving modeling clay, beads, buttons, and feathers. Every participant was given about 15 minutes to create something meaningful from the materials that were issued. Prizes were awarded to the table members with the best quiz result, and prizes were awarded to the person with best modeling clay work at his or her table.
