She was the daughter of the late Harry H. and Hattie Hart Walker. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Garfield Business Institute. Helen worked in the offices of National Tube Company until her marriage to Robert S. Braden of Beaver Falls, PA on April 23, 1949. They made their home in Nashville, TN, for many years where she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; brother, H. Robert Walker; sister, Zelda Laurain; nephew, Ronald Laurain, and niece, Norma Weller.

She is survived by sons Robert S. Braden Jr., Charlotte NC; Kevin W. Braden and wife Barbara, Largo FL; grandson Joshua K. Braden, Austin TX and wife Samantha; granddaughter Karen M. Braden, Clearwater FL; sister-in-law Winifred D. Walker, Eustis FL; brother-in-law Donald E Braden, Glenshaw PA; four nieces and three nephews.
