Shannon Dunn's Wedding

Ocracoke, North Carolina
April 21-23, 2017

Over the weekend of April 21-23, Anne and I traveled to the Outer Banks of North Carolina where Shannon Dunn and her new husband would renew their wedding vowels that they made in Costa Rica in January, and provide a reception for all those who could not make it to Costa Rica.

We flew in separately from Tampa and New Orleans, and linked up at Norfolk, where we rented a car for the 2 1/2 hour drive it down to Buxton. That night we had a very nice dinner with Paul and Dorothy and some friends who had also come in for the wedding.

The next day we took the ferry over to Ocracoke Island where the wedding and reception would be held.

It was a very nice event. Paul got a chance to walk Shannon "down the aisle" and there was plenty of tasty seafood and beverages. There was also a very good local band. The people there were very, very friendly and - of course - all the locals knew each other.

Anne and I caught the ferry back to Hatteras Island late Saturday night, stayed at Paul and Dorothy's, and left early in the morning for Norfolk and our flights home.

A fine weekend.
