Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas

Orlando, Florida
July 15, 2025

On Monday, July 14, Karen and I got a note from Robert that he and his family would be in Orlando during the week and wondered if we could come up one day to visit with him?

Robert and Family were staying at the Cypress Harbour Villas are part of Marriott's Vacation Ownership program, and it has more inclusive activities than any other resort visited by the Braden family:

  • Three swimming pools with spas
  • A splash park
  • Fishing from the dock
  • A 6-hole miniature golf course
  • A covered basketball court
  • A number of small children play areas
  • Ping-Pong tables
  • Pool tables
  • A Bocce Ball court
  • A shuffleboard court
  • An exercise/weight room
  • A tennis court
  • A Pickleball court
  • A soccer field
  • All kinds of balls that can be checked out.
  • Picnic areas with outdoor grills
Also:
  • You can fish using resort equipment; worms can be purchased.
  • Gas powered bumper boats available for rent.
  • Basic scuba lessons offered at a nominal fee.
There is a grill that serves the pool area as well as a bar.

Well, it took some work for Karen to get her schedule adjusted , but we did arrange to go up there the next day. Karen had to work that day so she did some of it from her car as she was driving herself, me and Daylin up to Orlando. (Braden was at a church camp, Skyler was at the beach with friends, and Cathy had to work.)

Although we did not depart Valrico until 1:30 PM, Karen made good time and we arrived at The Marriott Cypress Harbour Resort at 3PM.

That gave us time for a swim before we left for Disney Springs to partake of some excellent Burger meals recommended by Benjamin. The place: D-Luxe Burger, was a quick-service restaurant frequently highlighted for its classic and specialty burgers, hand-cut fries, and unique dipping sauces. We loved it, but had to return to the resort in time for Benjamin and the rest of us to watch the MLB All Star game, which was won by the National League, which we learned later as we needed to leave mid-game to get back to Valrico before it was way too late.
