Mom and Ellen live in the town of Carmel, which is just north of Indianapolis. The roads are pretty good and from Mom's place to Capitol Circle downtown is no more than 20 to 25 minutes. The Carmel city center is very picturesque, and is noted by the statues that are along Main Street. I have included some of them below. (In 2012, CNN Money Magazine named Carmel the No. 1 place to live in America (for cities ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 in population.)

Katie's graduation was marked by an assembly of the Mitchell Clan. First time in two or three years, as I recall. Carrie and Nora Ellen came in from Denver. Kyle, Amanda, and Major came in from Jefferson, Indiana. Ellen had a very nice reception afterwards and it was so good seeing everyone.
