The Joyce 60+ Ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church in Thonotosassa held its annual Christmas party at the home of Marvin and Kay Williams.
It was a wonderful evening with nearly 80 people attending.
David Spencer cooked the meat in his new smoker and brought wonderfully tasty pulled pork, turkey, and brisket. Attendees provided side dishes and dessert.
It was a great time for socializing and getting to know people who might not be in your Life Group.
Following dinner and dessert there was the annual Christmas Gift Exchange, a White Elephant type event though the gifts all had a value of about between $10 and $20. With so many people there to open gifts and trade gifts there was a potential that we might still be opening presents the next morning, but the Williams and David and Melody Spencer got together and found a way to make things work just about perfectly.
Everyone had a very good time and thanked Marvin and Kay profusely for offering their house for such a large event. No doubt they spent many hours preparing for and many hours putting away all the furniture, dishes, silverware, and other items needed to host so many people. Thank you sooooo much!
