Robert Alan Braden

Robert Braden grew up in a military family. He was born shortly after his father assumed command of an engineer battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Robert's youth was spent in Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania; Stuttgart and Hanau, Germany, and Tampa (Valrico); Florida; Fort Eustis, Virginia; and Tallahassee, Florida. His activities included youth wrestling, basketball, baseball, and soccer, with emphasis on the latter two. He was a varsity tennis player at Leon High School and active with his church youth group. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. While at Georgia Tech he participated in a variety of intramural sports, and he was active in Campus Christian Fellowship where he served as an assistant pastor. In 2007 he traveled to Birmingham, England to establish a campus ministry to serve students at the nearby university. Beginning with essentially nothing, he and the other GlobalScope campus ministers, including Natalie Collins, found a campus house and conducted a highly successful campus ministry called Canvas. Natalie and Robert married on June 22, 2008 and today they live with their four sons in Lanett, Alabama, where Natalie works part time for Spring Road Church and for the Point University college ministry Feast. Robert worked for Charter Bank in nearby West Point, Georgia, until the bank was sold, and he is now employed by Chick-fil-A. While at Charter Bank Robert earned an MBA from Georgia Tech.
