Anne Melissa Braden
|
Anne Braden grew up in a military family. She was born while her father served as an Inspector General for the Army's Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Monroe, a job where he traveled 50% of the time, leaving Bonnie to care for newborn Anne as well as Karen and Sandra. After Fort Monroe, Anne's youth was spent in Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania; Stuttgart and Hanau, Germany, and Tampa (Valrico); Florida; Fort Eustis, Virginia; and Tallahassee, Florida. Her activities included youth soccer; JV field hockey at Menchville High School, Newport News; and four years of varsity softball at Menchville and at Leon High School, Tallahassee. She attended Florida State University and was in the Phi Mu sorority there. At FSU she earned a Bachelor of Science in human sciences. After graduation she worked in the mortgage brokerage and title insurance industries before becoming a Kindergarten teacher at Yates Elementary, Brandon, Florida.
