The drive from the Tampa area to St. Augustine is around three hours; their trip took a bit longer as they had to detour around Orlando as a traffic accident (Truck turned on its side) blocked all northbound lanes on I-4.

They had nice accommodations and nice weather for the trip. They also sampled some very good restaurants.

They rode - with Cinny - the Hop-On Hop-Off Old Town Trolley all around the city and listened to the conductor's tour information. They also visited the St. Augustine Lighthouse and its property where they toured the Lighthouse Keeper's home and other displays on the property. Jay climbed the the 219 steps to the top of the Lighthouse while Joyce tended to Cinny.
