Jay's Note to Robert

Happy Birthday #42, Robert!

Today, I'm celebrating not just another year of your life, but the incredible journey you have taken. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, you have grown into a wonderful son who always made your parents proud. Your childhood, spent in various Army locations like Fort Campbell, Stuttgart, Hanau, Fort Eustis, and Tallahassee, shaped you into the adaptable and resilient person you are today.

Your early years were filled with achievements in recreation league soccer and baseball, showcasing your talent and dedication. These qualities carried you through your academic journey at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where you earned a degree in Computer Engineering. Your commitment to excellence didn't stop there. You took a sabbatical from your engineering profession to work four years with GlobalScope and set up a highly successful campus ministry in Birmingham, England, demonstrating your passion for service and leadership.

Upon returning to the US, you quickly rose from a contractor to become a VP at Charter Bank in West Point, Georgia, a testament to your hard work and leadership skills. Your professional journey continued to flourish as you have found success working for Chick-fil-A, where your dedication and expertise have evidently made a significant impact. I have personally seen how you have earned the respect of the 40 or so Chick-fil-A Operators that you support.

Beyond your professional achievements, you are celebrated for the roles you play in your personal life. As a super husband to your lovely wife Natalie, you have shown what true partnership and love look like. Your dedication and support have been the cornerstone of your beautiful family. As a loving father to your six amazing children, Benjamin, Everett, Charles, Luke, Thatcher, and Alice, you have created a home filled with joy, laughter, and endless love. The degree to which you (and Natalie) are involved with your children is a model worthy of emulation.

Your dedication (and also Natalie's) dedication to fitness is also very noteworthy.

Today, I'm honoring you for all the roles you play so wonderfully. May your birthday be filled with the same happiness and love that you bring to others every day. Here's to celebrating you and wishing you many more years of health, happiness, and success.

Happy Birthday, Robert!

With much love,

Dad
