Marriott Cypress Harbour Villas

Orlando, Florida
December 27-30, 2024

On December 27-30, 2024, Jay joined Karen and her family for a up to Orlando to visit Robert and his family at Marriott's Cypress Harbour Villas. We had two villas; one with Robert and his family, and one for Jay plus the Alvarez family.

Cypress Harbour Villas are part of Marriott's Vacation Ownership program, and it has more inclusive activities than any other resort visited by the Braden family:

  • Three swimming pools with spas
  • A splash park
  • Fishing from the dock
  • A 6-hole miniature golf course
  • A covered basketball court
  • A number of small children play areas
  • Ping-Pong tables
  • Pool tables
  • A Bocce Ball court
  • A shuffleboard court
  • An exercise/weight room
  • A tennis court
  • A Pickleball court
  • A soccer field
  • All kinds of balls that can be checked out.
  • Picnic areas with outdoor grills
Also:
  • You can fish using resort equipment; worms can be purchased.
  • Gas powered bumper boats available for rent.
  • Basic scuba lessons offered at a nominal fee.
There is a grill that serves the pool area as well as a bar.

Jay, plus Karen and her family arrived earlier in Orlando and for an Escape Room adventure.

Escape rooms are interactive games where players are locked in a themed room and must use logic, teamwork, and observation to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a time limit. These puzzles often involve finding hidden objects, deciphering codes, and using clues to unlock locks and progress through the game.
They choose the "Lost City" room and completed the one hour challenge with more than 20 m inutes to spare. Note that without Daylin, Braden, and Skyler; Jay plus Karen and Cathy would still be in the room(s) looking for clues.

Benjamin and Braden participating in a Scavenger Hunt for a prize.
The goal is to look at all the nicely decorated tress in Disney Springs and mark them on a map.
However, Braden knows a Web site where people post answers to puzzles like this and . . .

What better way to end a day at Disney Springs than with a specialty ice cream?
Swinging at Pirates Playground

The Marriott Cypress Harbour had a Pickleball Court with complimentary paddles and balls.

Shuffleboard anyone?

What better way to end a day a three day fun adventure in Orlando than lunch at Cane's?

Yes, we are missing some pictures: Some of the great meals we had; Robert cooking breakfast for everyone and also a dinner, playing basketball, riding the "shuttle boat" to and from the main pool, playing variations of volleyball in the pool . . . Maybe next time.
. . . but these are just notes for the future and do not change the fact that we had
a GREAT TIME together!
