Christmas Day at Michael and Karri's Home

Spring Hill, Florida

Jay and Joyce celebrated Christmas with the Kernohan side of the family, congregating at Michael and Karri's home in Spring Hill. The gathering also included Karri's daughter Tess and her boy friend Raymond; Karri's son Joseph on leave from Army duties at Fort Polk along with his girl friend; Michael's son Ryan in from Miami; Michael's other two sons Tyler and Conner; Howard and Michelle Wooden with their sons Devin and Hunter, and Devin's son Aiden. Also joining the festivities were Michael's neighbors from across the street: Aaron and Mary.

We had some holiday punch, took some nice Christmas pictures, toured the upstairs really great multipurpose room renovated by Michael and Karri, and enjoyed a scrumptious and beautifully cooked prime rib dinner with more delectable sides that anyone could eat in a week.

Then it was downstairs for opening of Christmas presents followed by upstairs opening of Christmas stockings. As usual, Michael and Karri outdid themselves.

Then it was back downstairs for party games, where everyone demonstrated an amazing degree of brilliance - except for the first game involving a bus driver ... which everyone failed. Hoping to do better, everyone now assembled into teams of about four people each for a variety of pencil and paper challenges and a few physical ones also. Let's just say for the record that the physical challenges involving Chop sticks, "boulder" marbles, and marshmallows among the items used in these tests of skill and innovation.

We did have some periodic breaks for beverages and we did get to celebrate a long-overdue 1st Wedding Anniversary. Plus there were a number of quick trips out to the kitchen to further sample items from dinner.
